This tiny, quirky car by Renault, is the ideal EV for the City that has the least space for cars, which seems to be most Cities nowadays, as they increasingly become more car unfriendly. The Twizy Electric vehicle is actually smaller than a Smart Fortwo. Even the doors are optional. The seating layout, with the single passenger seat behind the driver, looks and feels comical, but you soon get over this and it certainly gives the narrowest EV on the market.
As you might expect on such a small vehicle, there is only a small battery of just over 6kHh and a small drive motor, meaning that performance and range are not its strongest points and it does not seem to be aiming for that area of the market. It will however achieve over 40 miles between charges, making it an ideal, cost effective daily commute into town or to work.
