Lyft and Waymo team up for Self driving car pilot testing
The number 2 US based ride hailing services company, Lyft Inc and Alphabet Inc. self-driving car company, Waymo, have recently announced a self-driving vehicle partnership. This will bring together two key Autonomous vehicle players, to take on the current number 1 ride-sharing service Uber.
Lyft stated that its self-driving trials would progress its future vision for transportation and Waymo believes the partnership would enable the technology to reach "more people, in more places". The initial trials will be in Phoenix, but no other detailed information is currently available.
